2. Tools

2.1 Making a tool with your AI: Add a tool

My Workshop → Add → New tool, or the Add a tool page. Seven steps:

  1. Start with your AI. Describe Your idea (who it is for, what goes in, what comes out). LeavenIT turns it into The prompt to send to your AI, which already contains everything LeavenIT needs (one HTML file, no network, saving data with window.leavenit, a separate square icon, and a summary block). Copy prompt, paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini, and come back when the tool works. Already have a tool? I already have my tool.
  2. Bring your tool: Upload a file (.html, .jsx or .tsx, up to 2 MB) or Paste the code straight from your AI chat.
  3. Name it: Title (3 to 90 characters), Description (10 to 500), Category, Tested on (which AI). Shortcut: Paste the block from your AI: the AI ends its answer with lines starting with Title:, Description:, Category:, Prompt:; paste them and Fill the fields.
  4. Make it look good: up to 4 screenshots (PNG, JPG or WebP, 2 MB each; the first one is the card picture; with none, LeavenIT takes a picture of the tool), and the App icon: Automatic icon (made from the title), Upload my own icon (square, PNG/JPG at least 512 px, or SVG), or Paste SVG code.
  5. Who can see it?: Private (only you), By link (anyone with the link), Showcase (everyone, after review).
  6. Add the prompt: the prompt that made the tool. Optional, required for the Showcase.
  7. Check and publish. "Your tool is in the oven", or "Sent for review" for the Showcase: you can already use it while it waits.

React tools (.jsx, .tsx) are accepted too.

2.2 The tool page

Actions: Open (full screen), Install, Copy (Take a starter: your own copy, with its files and prompt), Edit (makers), Share, ☆ Add to favorites, More → Report.

Below: screenshots, About this tool, The prompt (Copy prompt; Fix this prompt copies a version asking your AI to repair a prompt that no longer works well), and Starter lineage: which tool it was copied from, and its copies on the Showcase.

Where your data goes: a tool opened from My tools or My Workshop saves your personal data. Opened from a shared folder, it can also use that folder's shared data (the tool page shows Open in to choose).

2.3 Publishing and sharing

  • Share → Who can see it: Private, By link, Showcase. Copy link, Share with a person.
  • Showcase means a short review first. A change to a published tool sends it back to review ("Any change sends your tool back to review.").
  • In a shared folder: Workshop → open the folder → Add → Shortcut to one of my tools…, or from My Workshop, the tool's ⋯ → Create shortcut in…. It stays one tool: a change shows everywhere, and each folder keeps its own data.
  • On the tool page, the Folders sheet ("Where should it live?") lists where the tool is published.

2.4 Makers: editing a tool together

⋯ on a tool → Makers and publishing:

  • Makers (up to 10, invitations included) can edit the tool, publish it and invite others. All makers are equal. Add a maker shows people who share a folder with you → Invite. The person accepts from the notification bell (the invitation expires after 7 days).
  • Leave (if you're not the last maker), Remove a maker, Cancel invitation.
  • Publishing is independent from makers: Just the makers (always on), By link, Showcase (with its review state: Approved, Pending review, Not accepted).

2.5 Editing, history, conflicts

  • Edit opens Edit tool: replace the file, the screenshots, the icon, the texts → Update.
  • History (on the edit page, or ⋯ → History in Workshop): the last 10 versions, with who and what changed. Preview opens an old version (nothing is saved); Restore brings it back as a new version.
  • If another maker saved while you were editing, your save is refused instead of overwriting theirs: " saved this tool while you were editing." → Copy my description and prompt, then Reload.

2.6 Deleting a tool

Edit tool → Delete. With other makers, the tool goes to Recently deleted for 30 days and any maker can restore it. Copies taken by others are never affected.

2.7 Favorites and My tools

☆ Add to favorites on a tool page, or ⋯ → Add to favorites in Workshop. My tools shows them as app icons, with filters All, Made by me, and one per shared folder, plus a search (magnifier). Opened from a folder's filter, a tool uses that folder's data. Right click or long press → Details, Unpin. Up to 200 favorites.
